He suggests closing the beach to the public for safety reasons. The ship, known as Panagiotis, has been stranded since October 1980, contributing to the formation of the beach. However, recent natural disasters, including earthquakes and landslides, have raised concerns about its stability.
"Allow them to enjoy a boat ride this summer, capture memories with photographs, and then depart," he suggested. "The wreck hasn't been treated with respect. Even day boats have been tethered to its hull to avoid being swept away by waves."
